Speak Your Truth and Own It

“Say what you wanna say,
And let the words fall out.
Honestly, I wanna see you be brave
with what you want to say”   ~ Sara Bareilles

I discovered a great blog the other day when ‘opinionated man’ started following me. His blog is amazing, and I wanted to share it. Primarily, because he is speaking his truth and owning it. He is raw, he is real and he is honest. He doesn’t care that what he has to say may make people hate him, judge him and condemn him – he is just speaking his truth and you can take it or leave it.

Now, THAT’S a brave guy.

He has helped inspired me to do the same. I am currently working on a YouTube channel that will show a different side of me than the woman you see here on this blog. This blog is me. Very me. However, there is more to me than what you will ever find on this blog, much much more.

I am warning you that the website above might offend you. If it does, then don’t read it or don’t check it out. It’s kinda like a train wreck, you know there is going to be gore and devastation if you look, but you compulsively can’t help yourself from looking. If language offends you, don’t click the link. Simple. I think he is funny as hell, and he isn’t even trying – he is just speaking his truth, and I encourage people everywhere to do the same.

God bless America! I feel so lucky to live in a country where we can freely speak our minds. It’s funny that no matter what you say or how you say it, someone, somewhere, is going to get pissed off, twist your words, take it the wrong way, berate you, judge you and try to squash you for speaking your truth. It is just a given. Here’s to all those who know that reality and still go ahead and do it anyway! Shine on!

    • Good good good for you! Very difficult to do at times, especially when you have filtered every thought for so long in order to not offend or break the rules. Takes lots of practice and I hope it keeps getting easier and easier. Thank you for the comment!
